Rimmel London - The only One

The Brief

For Rimmel London's lipstick; ‘The only One’ targeting women aged between 18 to 25 and gave me an opportunity to see it not as another lipstick, but as an empowering message which opens up the demographic.

The Solution

My concept was based around involving the consumer rather than having to push the product at them. The #LipstickLibrary involves women from different ethnicities, with various face shapes and teeth to become part of the campaign across social, and ultimately, go against the idea that there is only one 'perfect pair of lips' and be inspired by others. I chose a selection of women whose lips came in a variety of different shapes and sizes and produced a series of how to's to be gathered into the World's first lip library. It was an incredibly exciting project to Art Direct and Design.

My Role

Lead Art Director and Designer, creating the concept for the brief, pitching the idea to the client and seeing through from photoshoot to design work across the Rimmel social channels. This project required 3 shoot days with 10 models, shooting both stills and motion.

The Outcome

The World’s First lipstick library launched on both the Rimmel site and a custom made site which hosted the library of images which showcased the collections shades. Content also went live across Rimmel’s social channels (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram).
